Commissioner Jim Kenny, Chair

Commissioner Kenny has been a fire commissioner since 2003. He is past president of the Snohomish and Island County Fire Commissioners Association and board member of the Washington Fire Commissioners Association. Commissioner Kenny and his wife live in the Silver Firs neighborhood. He works as a prosecutor for the City of Seattle.

Commissioner District 5: Term ends Dec. 31, 2025

Commissioner Micah Rowland

An 18-year resident of Snohomish County, Chair Rowland has served on the board of multiple community, local, and state organizations and brings 25 years  of experience working in technology and consulting. First appointed to the board as District 4 Commissioner in early 2022, he was elected by voters to the position for a six-year term in the 2023 general election. 

Commissioner District 4: Term ends Dec. 31, 2029

Commissioner Edward Widdis

Edward Widdis was elected to the board in November 2023. He retired as Fire Chief of Snohomish County Fire District 1 in 2015. Widdis was president of the Snohomish County Fire Chiefs Association during the 9/11 attacks and has also served on the Northwest Region Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Council
